We offer scheduled trips of 1 hour, 1.5 hour and 2 hour duration – the destination is determined by the number of wildlife encounters, naturally the longer trips can also show you more of our spectacular coastline. We can offer you a one-hour cruise on our boats Ermol 6 and Dreamcatcher – south to Cwmtydu where you will see amazing sights including bird colonies, seal haul-out areas and Castell Beach, the local ruins of an iron age settlement. And don’t forget – the chance of seeing some of the many bottle-nosed dolphins and porpoises. Cruising entirely within the Cardigan Bay Special Area of Conservation, along the Ceredigion Marine Heritage Coast (C.M.H.C) recognized for its unspoiled coastline and wildlife, including dolphins, porpoise, Atlantic grey seals and numerous bird species including razorbills and guillemots. The one and half hour trip on our boat Ermol 5, offers all of the above and lots more. On this cruise, you will venture further down the coast to the little bay of Ynys Lochtyn, approximately halfway along the C.M.H.C. Just before the village of Llangranog. You will see the tallest cliff in Ceredigion.
The perfect way to celebrate a special occasion while you are visiting New Quay is on a private charter, and is very good value. All around viewing is possible thanks to the small wheelhouse being in the middle, this means if the dolphins are at the front, you can be too.
We are Sea Watch foundation Recommended Boat Operator in New Quay, many of our passenger trips enable the charity to conduct official monitoring while onboard. Our relationship offers the charity limitless access to the water while we gain a greater understanding of the marine wildlife to pass on to our passengers. We are helping collect data, conduct research and help them monitor the Bottlenose Dolphins of Cardigan Bay.
